[ワシントン 7日 ロイター] – US National Security Advisor Sullivan said on Wednesday that Sweden’s entry into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is “in the near future” despite Turkey’s continued opposition. He expressed confidence that he would succeed.

Biden is expected to meet the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in some form during the NATO summit in Lithuania next week.

He also said that although Ukraine will not join NATO at the summit next week, the necessary measures for future membership will be discussed, which will be an important step towards Ukraine’s membership of the rice field.
