Google has unveiled an AI (artificial intelligence) feature to help people going through a psychological crisis.

According to the American technology magazine The Verge on the 16th, Google plans to provide a text message service that allows users searching for terms related to suicide to receive help from counseling experts.

When a user searches for something related to suicide, Google will show a service called ‘Connect with people you trust’. AI delivers several counseling text content related to user search terms. Users can initiate a text consultation with an expert by clicking the ‘send text’ button.

The text is displayed under the ‘Suicide Prevention Helpline’, which appears automatically when you search for suicide, and was produced after being reviewed by experts from the International Society for Suicide Prevention.

Megan Johns Bell, head of consumer and mental health at Google, said on her blog that day, “When faced with a difficult situation, it’s often difficult to know how to explain the situation or how to get help.” He explained.

The service is expected to be available on the Google mobile app or on the web.

※ If you have difficulties that are difficult to talk about, such as depression, or if there are members of your family or acquaintances around you who experience these difficulties, you can call the suicide prevention helpline ☎1577- 0199, the hope phone ☎129 , the life phone ☎1588-9191, and the youth phone ☎1388 as experts 24 hours a day.
