On Sunday, November 3, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) recovered 25 cocktail-like objects from behind the Phulbaria Wasa water tank office at Banshal police station in the capital. The objects were successfully defused by the DMP bomb disposal unit of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Muhammad Talebur Rahman of the Media and Public Relations Department of DMP provided this information on Sunday evening. According to DC Rahman, a local resident reported the matter to the police on Saturday, November 2, at 9:30 pm after discovering a cocktail-like object under a rain tree behind the Wasa water tank office near the western Fulbaria BRTC ticket counter at Bangshal police station.

Following the report, a team from the Bangshal police station rushed to the scene and ensured necessary security in the surrounding area. The Bangshal Thana Police then informed the bomb disposal unit of CTTC about the discovery of the cocktail-like objects. A team from the bomb disposal unit arrived at the scene at 11 pm and safely defused the objects on the grounds of Suritola Government Primary School.

The Bangshal police station is currently investigating the matter, and further legal action is being taken.
