Gasoline prices at domestic gas stations stopped falling this week and rose slightly for the first time in five weeks.

According to Korea National Oil Corporation’s oil price information service Opinet on the 30th, the average selling price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide in the fourth week of April (4.24-28) was 1,968.2 won per liter, up 0.4 won from the previous week.

The national average diesel price was 8.1 compared to the previous weekIt was 1,907.7 won per liter, up by won.

It is analyzed that the recent rise in international oil prices and foreign exchange rates has had an impact.

However, as the government’s expanded fuel tax cuts are implemented, gasoline prices are expected to fall again from next week.

The reduction in fuel tax applied to petroleum products will be expanded from 20% to 30%. Accordingly, there is an additional cut effect of 83 won per liter for gasoline and 58 won per liter for diesel.
