Idol group iKON’s member Bobby surprised everyone by announcing the news of her marriage and her 2nd birthday.
On the 20th, Bobby released a handwritten letter he wrote on his personal social networking service (SNS).
He first confessed, “I promised to marry the person I love,” and immediately added, “I will become a father in September.”
He continued, “I’m happy to have a new family, but I’m even more apologetic to the fans who are embarrassed by my sudden news,” he said.
He further said, “I feel a heavy responsibility because I feel like I am putting a heavy burden on the people who have always helped and supported me with all my heart. I’ll give it to you.” He lowered his head again.
At the end of the letter, he said, “I will become a person who will not be ashamed of the iKON members, fans, and parents who have made me the person the world needs. I will do my best,” he promised.
Fans who heard this sent messages of congratulations and blessings, but reacted dismayed by the unexpected announcement.
In addition, some expressed their disappointment that he did not mention him even though he had been actively promoting without a long hiatus this year, and that he hastily notified him a month before the birth. In fact, Bobby released a solo album in January and made a comeback with the members in March with a new song ‘Why Why Why’. Another month later, he appeared on Mnet’s entertainment show ‘Kingdom: Legendary War’ and presented a colorful stage for fans.
Meanwhile, Bobby, who debuted as iKON’s main rapper the following year after winning the hip-hop contest program ‘Show Me the Money 3’ in 2014, released a number of hit songs such as ‘Loved’, ‘Sniping Taste’, and ‘I’m going to die’. It created a fan base.
