Massive Operation in Mohammadpur: 29 Arrested in Joint Force Operation

Following the popular uprising, the law and order system in the Mohammadpur area of the capital city has broken down, resulting in an alarming rise in crime. Over 10 people have lost their lives, and more than 50 have been injured, with the number increasing daily due to frequent thefts.

In response to this situation, law enforcement agencies have launched a massive operation in the Mohammadpur district. On Monday, October 28, 29 individuals were arrested in separate incidents in the area.

AIG (Media and Public Relations) Inamul Haque Sagar announced this information at the police headquarters on Tuesday, October 29.

According to AIG Sagar, a joint raid by Mohammadpur police and an army patrol team on Monday night resulted in the arrest of 7 individuals from the Geneva camp. The authorities recovered 2 revolvers, 20 rounds of ammunition, and 5 chapatis from the suspects.

In a separate operation, 9 individuals were arrested in the Mohammadpur district. The authorities seized 2 kg of ganja, 2 samurai, 1 chapati, 1 knife, and 1 auto rickshaw from the suspects.

AIG Sagar also stated that Mohammadpur police station conducted raids at various locations, leading to the arrest of 3 active dacoit members in a robbery case, 5 individuals in a robbery case, 3 professional thieves in a robbery case, and 2 individuals under the DMP Act.
