Rezaul Haque PPM: A Seasoned Police Officer’s Journey
Rezaul Haque PPM, a veteran police officer, has taken charge as the DIG of Khulna Airport Police, bringing with him a wealth of experience and expertise.
His illustrious career spans over two decades, with notable stints as the Vice Chancellor of the Police Staff College and DIG of the Khulna range. Haque’s dedication to public service is evident in his remarkable journey, which began when he joined the police force as a cadre of the 18th BCS.
Throughout his career, Haque has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, earning promotions to key positions. He was promoted to DIG on May 11, 2022, after serving as Additional DIG, a role he assumed in November 2017. Prior to that, he held the position of AIG at Police Headquarters.
Haque’s experience in various districts, including Rajbari, Feni, Chittagong, Narsingdi, Khulna Metro, Dhaka Metro, Narail, and Chuadanga, has equipped him with a deep understanding of the complexities of law enforcement. His tenure as Superintendent of Police in Rajbari and Feni districts is particularly noteworthy, with his leadership contributing significantly to maintaining law and order in these regions.
Born in the Bogra area, Haque joined the Bangladesh Police as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1999. His service has been marked by distinction, including a stint in the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in the Congo. He has also served in various capacities, including as AIG Police Headquarters, a position he assumed in February 2017.
In his personal life, Haque is a devoted family man, with his wife working as a Joint Secretary in Public Administration. He is the proud father of two daughters.
