Microsoft (MS) held a new online presentation on the morning of the 12th (Korea time) and unveiled 26 new lineups planned for release on its Xbox console. The highly anticipated work “Starfield” also appeared on the same day.
Starfield is a role-playing game (RPG) with a space background that was introduced as a new intellectual property (IP) after ‘Bethesda Game Studio’, famous for ‘The Elder Scrolls’, was acquired by Microsoft. It will be released on September 6th.
MS released an hour long Starfield gameplay video via the ‘Starfield Direct’ event after the new game presentation. The video shows the appearance of various planets in the galaxy and the view of their free exploration. You can also see free interaction with characters and the appearance of various groups in the galaxy. Decorating my own spaceship and fighting using the spaceship was also distracting.
“Starfield is not a Benesda Studios game. It’s a Benesda Studios galaxy,” he said. “I wanted to give freedom on a galaxy level to explore all the planets.”
Microsoft is releasing Starfield on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC (Steam). Digital Premium Edition buyers can use it as early access (Early Access) from September 1st.
