The Kozhikode City Police Commissioner rejected the Nadakavan police’s claim that they should conduct a physical examination of the complainant after receiving an obscene video from an unknown number on his mobile phone. During an online class, a student received obscene video messages from an unknown number on his phone. The passer-by lodged a complaint with the police, but since it was a POCSO case, the police demanded that the child’s body be examined for investigation. Finally, the complainants recanted by writing that they did not want a body examination. City Police Commissioner A. said that there is no need for a body examination as per the request of the Nadakavu police. Akbar said. Instructions were given to complete the inspection process immediately. The mobile phone will be returned shortly. For this, Kannur Forensic Lab was directed to file an application through the court. Meanwhile, even after ten months of filing the complaint, the police have not been able to arrest the accused.
