British ‘Guardian’ reporter David Hytner said on the 27th (Korea time), “Tottenham coach Anger Postekoglou will receive significant funding this summer.”
Tottenham managed to earn a ticket to the UEFA Champions League (UCL) by finishing in 4th place with the appointment of coach Antonio Conte for the 2021-22 season. At that time, Son Heung-min became the top scorer in the English Premier League (EPL) alone, scoring 23 goals.
However, Tottenham suffered a setback last season. Tottenham came 8th in the Premier League with 18 wins, 6 draws, and 14 losses, with 60 points. Coach Conte caused problems by publicly criticizing the Tottenham team and players. In the end, Tottenham fired coach Conte midway through the season and put interim head coach Ryan Mason in place.

They are competing for Champions League tickets, but at a disadvantage. Aston Villa, in 4th place, have 66 points, 6 points ahead of Tottenham. Although Tottenham have still played two games less than Villa, it is not clear if Tottenham will be able to catch up as they still have games against strong teams such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City.
The reason why Tottenham collapsed this season is because of depth. When key midfielder Yves Bissouma was sent off, there was no backup to fill the gap. When centre-backs Christian Romero and Mickey van der Ven were missing, Emerson Royal and Ben Davis were used in place of Eric Dier (Bayern Munich).

In the end, Tottenham, unable to fill the voids of key players, fell. Son Heung-min’s helper was also needed, but they ended up signing Timo Werner on loan in the winter transfer market. Werner is even expected to return to RB Leipzig after the season ends.
Tottenham made a decision. We are looking to recruit members who can help the main players, including Son Heung-min. Levy, the owner of the salty club, has made a big decision.
