Skin is found on the outermost layer of the body and plays a role in protecting the body from invasion and infection by various bacteria. Eczema disease can occur when several causes, such as a humid environment with constant contact with water or contact with substances, occur in combination.

Eczema is not the name of a disease, but a general term for a group of skin conditions that commonly exhibit characteristics such as itching, blistering, scaling, and erythema. When symptoms persist for more than 6 weeks and become chronic, it causes lichenification, a thickening of the skin, or Caution is needed as pigmentation may occur.

Skin diseases related to eczema include atopic dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis, which are known as incurable skin diseases. Additionally, there are coin-shaped nummular eczema, contact dermatitis, and house eczema.

It is known that the skin regenerates in a three-month cycle. However, once the skin barrier breaks down and these diseases occur, the skin’s immunity and self-sufficiency decrease, creating an environment in which symptoms are likely to worsen.

From an Eastern medicine perspective, “destruction of the immune system” is cited as one of the reasons why eczema relapses and pain continues. Due to reduced immunity due to various causes, people become sensitive to even small stimuli that would not affect ordinary people, and this causes diseases to appear all the time.

To improve this, treatment must be performed to correct the collapsed skin barrier so that it does not react sensitively to stimulation and to improve overall weakened immunity to normalize the skin’s regeneration cycle and prevent recurrences.

In oriental medicine, after identifying each individual’s constitution, pattern and underlying disease, herbal medicine treatment helps improve immunity by restoring organ function, as does acupuncture, herbal acupuncture, moxibustion and light to remove skin inflammation and promote the circulation of stagnant Qi. and blood to promote self-sufficiency, a treatment method that improves both internal and external problems is applied by combining therapy with microphlebotomy, etc.

In addition to treatment for eczema, it is important to manage your daily lifestyle habits. When washing dishes, to avoid contact with water for as long as possible, wear cotton gloves under rubber gloves. After washing your hands, it is best to dry them thoroughly and then add a moisturizer. Additionally, avoiding contact with allergy-causing metallic substances as much as possible and getting enough sleep and light exercise to strengthen immunity can help improve symptoms.
