Seminar on Educational Reforms in Post-Coup Bangladesh Held at Dhaka University

A seminar titled ‘How to Graduate’ was recently held at Dhaka University, focusing on educational reforms in post-coup Bangladesh.

On Saturday, September 14, the keynote speech was delivered by Dr. M. Abdul Aziz, a leading educationist and Director General of BIIT, at the RC Majumdar Auditorium of the University.

The seminar was presided over by Professor Dr. Nakeeb Mohammad Nasrullah, Dean of Dhaka University Faculty of Law. Notable speakers included Professor Muhammad Fazli Elahi, VC of South East University; Professor Yusuf M. Islam, founding director of Ma’hadul Fikri Wad Dirasatil Islamia; Shaikh Musa Al Hafiz, associate professor of Chittagong University; and former president of the department of communication and journalism, Dr. Md. Haque Shahidul.

Azizun Nahar Munmun, Assistant Professor of the Department of Law and Human Rights at Asia Pacific University, Dhaka, moderated the program.

Dr. Abdul Aziz emphasized the need to prioritize the education system in the country, which has been neglected for far too long. He stressed that the education policy should be formulated with a focus on the philosophy, culture, and civilization of the people of Bangladesh.

BIIT, a think tank founded in 1989, is dedicated to reforming thought and knowledge. The organization conducts research and publishes works aimed at building a society based on knowledge and an enlightened nation. Renowned academics, researchers, Islamic thinkers, and experts in the country provide translation, teaching training, education, awareness, and advice to achieve this goal.
