[Reuters]–US game giant Electronic Arts (EA) and Take-Two Interactive Software have revised their 2021 adjusted sales forecast upwards.

Even after the lockdown (city blockade) was eased, popular games such as “FIFA 22” and “Grand Theft Auto V” continued to perform well.

Adjusted sales more than doubled in EA’s quarterly results. Sales such as “Apex Legends” were strong and exceeded market expectations. Overtime trading EA stocks have risen nearly 3%.

EA has revised its full-year adjusted sales upward to $ 7.63 billion. The previous forecast was $ 7.4 billion. According to Refinitiv data, the market forecast is $ 7.59 billion.

Take Two has revised its full-year adjusted sales outlook upward to $ 3.3 billion- $ 3.4 billion. “Grand Theft Auto V,” “NBA 2K,” and “Red Dead Redemption 2” performed well.

Meanwhile, US-based Activision Blizzard said quarterly adjusted sales were lower than expected. It also announced that the release of two titles will be postponed.
