Upon calling back, the production team shared the incredible news of working alongside Rajini sir, in a film directed by the talented Nelson. Without any hesitation, I promptly agreed. How could I refuse an opportunity to partake in a cinematic spectacle starring Rajinikanth himself? I was familiar with the director’s work, and he had initially pitched the idea of me portraying the main antagonist. That moment marked the inception of my remarkable journey in the film industry,” Vinayakan shared with enthusiasm.

When asked about sharing the screen with Rajini sir himself, Vinayakan struggled to find the right words to describe his experience. He conveyed his deep admiration for the Bollywood icon and expressed gratitude for the immense energy Rajinikanth brought to the set, an energy that he deemed unforgettable. “Director Nelson primarily focused on my role. In many films, I choose not to delve too deeply into the script in order to allow for flexibility and adaptation. The script often undergoes changes throughout the filmmaking process. However, Varman’s unprecedented success reached heights that confined me to the boundaries of my own home. It felt like living in a dream, a surreal feeling indeed. Every scene in the film held tremendous significance and was executed with utmost passion. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to Nelson, and of course, Rajini sir, whose brilliance will forever be etched in my memory. I extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Kalanidhi Maran as well,” said Vinayakan, expressing his appreciation.

Lots of missed calls when I came back and looked. The manager called and told the matter. When I called back, the production told me to do a film with Rajini sir. Nelson is also said to be the director. I didn’t have to think any more. Isn’t it Rajini’s picture sir? I know Nelson too. Nelson came up with an idea first. He also told me that I am the main villain. That was the first step towards the cinema.
