The integrated admission test of 24 clustered universities is starting for the fourth time. This exam will start from Saturday. This time the ‘A’ Unit (Science) exam is being conducted first. The exam will start from 12 noon to 1 pm.
One lakh 64 thousand students will take the exam against about 12 thousand seats in ‘A’ unit. About 13 people will fight against each seat. This exam will be held in 23 centers of 24 universities. In this, more than half a lakh students will appear in Jagannath University (JUB).
Dean of the Faculty of Science of Jagannath University. Shahjahan said that a total of 53 thousand 815 students will appear under Jagannath University in ‘A’ unit. The examination will be held at five other sub-centres under JOB along with the main center Jagannath University.
Jagannath University Proctor Professor Dr. Jahangir Hossain said that the weather is different this time compared to last time. Some new topics have been added. So that the situation is bearable. Talked to WASA for service to examinees in extreme heat. They will arrange water tanks outside the university. Water booths will be located at four points in Victoria Park. Water will be supplied in 10,000 one-time glasses.
The proctor also said that since about 13 thousand examinees will participate in our center, 400 chairs have been arranged in Victoria Park outside the campus to accommodate the parents who will come with them. So that the parents can sit in an orderly manner during the examination.
Jahangir Hossain said that the traffic Lalbagh has been informed so that the entrance of the examinees is not blocked. A letter has been sent to the police from the university administration. Adequate police will be deployed in the university area. Actions have been taken to stop vehicular traffic from the area adjacent to Shankhari Bazar-Victoria Park intersection.
He further said that since there is severe heat wave in the country. Candidates will come from different parts. They can enter the center some time in advance so that they can participate in the examination in good health.
Meanwhile, the ‘B’ Unit (Humanities) admission test will begin on May 3. Examination of ‘C’ Unit (Commerce) will be held on May 10. The admission test for these two units will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM.
