Young Electrician Dies from Electrocution in Dhaka
A tragic incident occurred in Dakshin Bansree of Khilgaon, Dhaka, resulting in the death of 34-year-old Mahbub Hossain due to electrocution.
The incident took place on Saturday, October 26, around midday. Mahbub was rescued unconscious and rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty at around 7 pm.
According to Rakib Hossain, Mahbub’s brother, the deceased worked in the field of electricity. While performing electrical work on the ninth floor of a building in Dakshina Banashree Kazi Bari area, Mahbub fell due to electrocution. He was initially taken to Mugda Medical College Hospital and later transferred to Dhaka Medical when his condition deteriorated.
Mahbub Hossain was the son of Rafiqul Hossain from Burichong Thana Kembejehura village, Comilla. He resided in a rented house in the Banashree area.
Inspector Md. Farooq, Incharge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp, confirmed the death and stated that the body has been kept in the hospital’s emergency department morgue. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station.
