Khabarni – Actress Amal Maher commented on the spread of rumors that talked about her kidnapping and disappearance in the recent period, confirming that she was not kidnapped, but chose to stay away from the spotlight for health reasons.
Maher said, on MBC Misr, that her absence in the recent period is due to her infection with the Corona virus, and that everything that was said previously is not true.
Amal Maher praised the development witnessed by the Arab world, especially Saudi Arabia, saying: “I am very happy with what is happening in the Kingdom. As an Egyptian Arab, I am happy with the development because this is development for the entire Arab world,” adding: “When you are proud of something you have in an Arab country, this happens to you.” In an Arab region you have something that makes you proud and happy that international events, such as the Riyadh Season, are taking place on Arab land, so this is something that, frankly, we are all honored by.”
Amal Maher spoke about how she was affected by the rumor of her disappearance, which coincided with her infection with the Corona virus for the third time, which raised the concern of her fans and lovers.
She said: “Unfortunately, my illness contributed to the spread of the rumor that I had been kidnapped. When I appeared in a video and said that I was fine, it was the third time I had been infected with Corona, and my health was devastated. I was afraid of appearing again to tell people that I was fine without them believing me, and despite that, “I recorded a two-minute video, and people came back and said that this person is not Amal Maher, and that I am not at home.”
She added: “Even my friends and relatives asked me to send them a message in my voice. People run after any exciting and exaggerated rumor. I was with my mother, and the rumor bothered her and my son. I thank people for their concern, love, and questions. Loving people is the happiest of things.”
In another context, Amal Maher expressed that she is waiting to release the second half of her album and her new works after the month of Ramadan.
She pointed out that she “fell in love” with the Lebanese artist Abeer Nehme, stressing that the singer’s strength is his strength on stage.
