29 people were injured when the bus overturned on the road in Joypurhat. The accident happened in the early morning of Friday (April 28) at the road junction area of Gaton city.
Jaipurhat Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sirajul Islam said that after the Eid holidays, the bus named Anach Paribahan was going to Dhaka carrying passengers from different areas of Panchagarh, Thakurgaon and Dinajpur. At the time, the bus lost control and overturned on the road when it came to Gatan Shahar intersection of Joypurhat Sadar Upazila. 29 passengers in the bus were injured.
He also said that police and fire service members rescued the injured and admitted them to Joypurhat Hospital. The relatives of the injured have been informed.
